#823 Who's your Realtor?

Today's blog post is dedicated to the incredible sales teams at Exit East Coast Realty and my good friend Bob Shirvanian.

If I ask you who your doctor is, you'll tell me.  If I ask you who your accountant is, you'll answer instantly.  If I ask who your realtor is, you may stutter.

Salespeople, whether you’re selling real estate, office furniture or financial services, it's all about relationships.  If you want to sell more and earn more you've got to work more; at relationships.  You've got to stay in touch in many different ways to be top of mind when people mention your profession.

There is a high school close to my home called Matawan High.  Their mascot is the Husky.  At a football or basketball game, the cheerleaders will shout; "When I say Matawan you say Huskies!"  Then they shout "MATAWAN," and the crowd shouts back, "HUSKIES!"

I want you to remember that cheer in your professional career.  When someone says "REALTOR" do your business relationships shout your name in response?  When someone says "OFFICE EQUIPMENT" does your customer offer your information?  When someone says "INSURANCE" do your contacts mention you?

Remember this as you build your career: PEOPLE DO BUSINESS WITH PEOPLE THEY LIKE, AND PEOPLE DO BUSINESS WITH PEOPLE THEY TRUST.

Understanding the components of rapport, trust, and long-term relationships is the key to sales wealth.

Own your sales gene…
